More about this tool

Empty rows and columns sneak into spreadsheets through copy-paste, exports from other programs or lists that were combined from several files. They break sorting and filtering, and blank cells cause formula errors and gaps in pivot tables.

This tool cleans that up in one step. Completely empty rows and columns are deleted. Blank cells inside your table can be filled with a value you choose, or with the value from the cell above โ€” the classic fix for reports where a customer or region name only appears in the first row of each group.

You open the tool in your browser, pick your Excel or CSV file, choose what should happen and save a cleaned copy. Your original file is not changed and nothing is uploaded.
