More about this tool

Duplicate rows creep into every list that is built from more than one source: the same customer from two exports, a contact entered twice, a copy-paste that went wrong. Excel's built-in "Remove Duplicates" deletes rows straight away without showing you what it removes.

This tool works the other way round. It first shows you every group of rows that match, side by side, with their row numbers. The first row of each group is marked to keep, the others to remove โ€” and you can change every tick before anything happens.

You also decide what counts as a duplicate. By default every column must match. If you only want to compare Name and Email, for example, just click those two columns.

When you are happy, click "Remove selected rows" and save the cleaned copy. Your original file is not changed, and nothing leaves your computer.
