📅 Fix Date & Number Formats

Turns dates stored as text into real Excel dates, shows long numbers in full instead of 1.23E+11, converts numbers stored as text (like "$1,250.00") into real numbers and restores lost leading zeros in ZIP codes.

🔒 Works offline — your file never leaves your computer

This page loads nothing from the internet. Try it with your Wi-Fi turned off. Your original file is never changed — you save a cleaned copy.

⚠️ Always keep a copy of your original file as a backup. Check the cleaned copy before you use it.

Options
Text like "3/4/2026", "2026-03-04" or "March 4, 2026" becomes a real date that sorts and calculates. Existing dates get the same display format.
Numbers that Excel displays as 1.23457E+11 (account numbers, IDs) are shown with all their digits again.
"1,250", "$1,250.00", "(45.10)" or "12.5%" become real numbers. Phone, ZIP and ID columns and values with leading zeros are left as they are.
In columns named ZIP / Postal Code: 2110 becomes 02110, 941051234 becomes 94105-1234.

Cleanup complete

Only the first worksheet is cleaned. Other worksheets, and any title rows above your table, are kept unchanged. Values, number formats and dates are kept; cell colors and fonts are not carried over. Row numbers refer to your original file.
